Job Description
True Classic is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead in-store performance, team development, customer experience, and operational excellence. In this role you will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, coach and develop a high-performing team, and execute retail strategies that elevate the customer journey and deliver consistent store results.
Areas of Accountability
Customer Experience & Brand Execution
Create a warm, welcoming environment for every customer
Lead and model the “TRUE Experience,” a customer-first selling approach rooted in connection, not pressure
Ensure the store environment is consistently clean, organized, and brand-right
Oversee visual merchandising and promotional execution
Sales Performance & KPI Ownership
Own daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
Monitor and drive KPIs including conversion, AOV, UPT, and overall revenue
Take proactive action to improve store performance and deliver measurable results
Execute business strategies that increase profitability and efficiency
Team Leadership & Development
Support hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates
Coach and develop team members to consistently meet and exceed performance goals
Hold the team accountable to customer service standards and operational expectations
Step in to lead the store in the absence of the Store Manager
Operations & Inventory Management
Ensure accurate and efficient transaction processing
Maintain compliance with cash handling procedures
Oversee inventory accuracy and operational processes
Support loss prevention and store organization standards
Cross Functional Collaboration
Store Manager: Partner on business strategy, performance management, and team development
Retail Leadership: Align on goals, promotions, and store-level initiatives
Visual Merchandising: Execute brand-right standards and seasonal updates
HR / Talent Acquisition: Support recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives
Operations & Inventory Teams: Ensure accurate inventory flow, reporting, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
2+ years of retail or customer-facing experience
Demonstrated ability to drive sales and influence team performance
Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and motivate others
Results-driven mindset with strong accountability
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
Prior retail leadership experience
Experience in a high-volume retail environment
Proven success improving KPIs and exceeding sales targets
Experience with inventory management and visual merchandising execution
Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience
